Welcome to Harewood Hill Climb History

Welcome to the Harewood Hill History Website

It was created in 2012 to celebrate two anniversaries of the Yorkshire Centre of the British  Automobile Racing Club activities at Harewood. They were the 50th Anniversary of the Building and Opening of the Hillclimb at Stockton Farm and the 20th Anniversary of the extension of the Track which created the longest Hillclimb in England.

The intention was to list as much of the history as possible and in a number of instances we have been successful. However there are gaps and we welcome receiving the loan or donation of the missing records so that they may be added to the records.

We do have a physical archive as well as the digital records.

We have tried to make access as comprehensive as possible and you will find most records in more than one place. For example a list of entries will appear under ENTRIES for the year and in EVENTS as part of the summary of relevant items to a specific event.

The Website will continue to show the current activities of the Yorkshire Centre as they keep the Historical record current.
